In this guide, let's learn how to enter the Valdhertz Crypts and complete the Cryptseeker achievement in Guild Wars 2: End of Dragons.

The Valdhertz Crypts is a point of interest located within the Echovald Wilds in Guild Wars 2: End of Dragons. This unique location in the Quarry Forelands can only be accessed after completing the Cryptseeker achievement, which involves finding three Amber Keystones in the Echovald Wilds for Scholar Jieun.

In this guide, we will go over how to complete the Cryptseeker achievement and enter Valdhertz Crypts for the first time. After discovering this point of interest, you will also have the chance to complete the Valdhertz Crypts mini-dungeon, which will reward you with a hefty amount of loot and achievement points.

Prior to entering the crypts, you need to find Scholar Jieun, located at the Zu Heltzer Historical Site. To get here, start from the Junkyard Waypoint and follow the path toward the site. Once you come to the main entrance, veer right until you see a small doorway. Continue west a little, and you will see Scholar Jieun standing near the base of a tree trunk.

Upon speaking with her, Scholar Jieun will tell you about the Valdhertz Crypts, and that you will need three Amber Keystones before you can enter.

After you are done speaking with her, you will unlock the Cryptseeker achievement, and can now visit the three locations required to complete it.

The first keystone can be found at Lake Lutgardis. To get here, start from the Mori Village Waypoint and head west on either your skiff or Skimmer mount.

The keystone can be found at the base of ruins, marked on the map above. This will be at water level, near Corrupted Ruins and Sickly Kirin.

Next, we have the Amber Keystone within Saint Anjeka's Shrine. This location can be reached by heading south from the Kropa Waypoint. To get here, you will need to cross through the Temple of the Dredge, until you come to the location marked with a dot on the map. This is the secret entrance to the Shrine which is covered with vines. In the image below, you can see what this entrance will look like.

Once inside, head through to the right, where you will see a broken window. Initially, the other side of the window is entirely black, but after going through, you will see wooden scaffolding.

Head down the scaffolding, and you will find the Amber Keystone to the right.

The last Amber Keystone is located next to the Tangled Altar point of interest. Starting from the Junkyard Waypoint, head south and take then take the path heading east once you get to the fork.

From here, continue heading southeast until you get to the Tangled Altar point of interest. The keystone can be found on the ledge above the point, which can be easily jumped up to on your Springer mount.

With all three Amber Keystones found, return to Scholar Jieun and speak with her. Upon doing so, the Cryptseeker achievement will be complete, and you can now enter the Valdhertz Crypts in the Quarry Forelands area of Echovald Wilds.

To get here, start from the Mori Village Waypoint and head north, following the path marked on the image above. At the star-marked location, you will see an Ancient Lantern that can be interacted with. Doing so will transport you to the other side of the door, inside the Valdhertz Crypts.

Now that you are inside, you can either complete the mini-dungeon or leave and continue exploring the map.
