NASCAR has faced a lot of issues with the new single-nut wheel system. Although, the intention behind it was to make pit stops faster than before, however, it seems to have turned around for NASCAR Cup Series teams. We saw a car lose a wheel in almost every race, just a wheel rolling down the tracks.

In fact, even Denny Hamlin talked about the issue saying “You would think with single lug you wouldn’t have that problem. You know, if you miss one or two nuts before you always had backups. But when you have one that’s it, it’s gonna come off.”

Dale Jarrett seems to have a different take on the new Single-Lug wheels. He sees it as more of a safety issue. Although, He did speak in favor of the new pit stop choreography by saying, “The pit stops are already faster just because there’s less to do” However, he added, “Allowing everybody, every pit crew person to go around the front of the car seems to be a safety issue to me.” “When I first heard it and first saw it, I thought it was a horrible idea. I still think it’s a safety liability.”

The new single-lugnut pit stop choreography is a turnoff for ⁦@DaleJarrett⁩ because of safety implications for team members, and he hope #nascar reconsiders it.

Dale Jarrett seems to have a good point here. In fact, Pit Stop was changed to improve the safety of the Pit Crew in the past. Could Jarrett’s views on the safety of the new Pit Stop Choreography with the Single Lug nut be true? Could it post a safety issue?

In the end, let’s hope NASCAR has looked into the safety issue of the new Pit Stop and not have any complications in the future.
