CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas —

The man who made the call for help was working on the water tower from a scaffold.

He was on his way down when a frayed cable jammed up the scaffold's pulley.

That left him hanging 40 feet above the ground.

After some waiting, the Corpus Christi Fire Department set up a ladder and was successfully able to get him down.

"He was in good spirits, he was just waiting," battalion chief Robin McGill said. "It's hot and humid today, so he was just stuck up there waiting for us to get him down."

The man did not suffer any injuries from the incident.

Corpus Christi firefighters are at Carmel Parkway and South Alameda where they have responded to a call for rescue.

KRIS 6 News has a crew on-scene, and we were able to capture someone stuck on a scaffold. We are standing by for more information.
