With no need for spacer blocks, extra measuring or grabbing for fasteners, Barrette Outdoor Living’s patented Step-Clip fastener system reduces deck installation time. In addition to quick and easy installation — with less time bending up and down — the system also allows deck boards to be laid out in advance to ensure the overall design and deck board direction are what the homeowner envisioned.

Step-Clip does not require the use of special tools — the interlocking strips can be installed along the joist with a nail gun or hammer. And since the strips are made of durable polypropylene, there is no need for joist protection tape — the strips protect the joists from water damage, rot and decay.

The fastener system also makes replacing boards significantly easier — damaged boards can be easily removed from the strips and new boards can be fastened with just a few steps.
